MotherBabyTogether
“Creating community support that enhances family experience of breastfeeding”
MotherBaby Together is a flexible peer support programme that can be integrated into existing services.
With many years of experience and knowledge of peer support the Breastfeeding LENS team has created a new and unique peer support programme “MotherBaby Together” that is flexible to meet the specific needs of your community and robust to meet your breastfeeding targets.
How MotherBaby Together Peer support works:
Breastfeeding LENS works in partnership with agencies to offer an externally supervised peer support project. We offer training courses for health professionals to establish and maintain peer support programmes.
We are able to offer a package that supports your health professional staff integrate and run the peer support project.
The training will cover all aspects of setting up a MotherBaby Together project or integrating it into an existing peer support service; current breastfeeding information; and the skills to prepare the peer supporters using the MotherBaby Together syllabus.
We can work within an already existing Peer Support service drawing on the existing strengths; or support you setting up a new peer support project.
Breastfeeding LENS can also provide ad hoc activity and information days for existing peer support projects.
If you have questions about how peer support may benefit your community or how to set up provision and embed it into current services. We offer short courses, presentations or study days for management and strategic stake holders on peer support and how peer support will work with you to improve your breastfeeding rates and reduce health inequalities.
